I created this website years ago as a passion project, because I felt that the history, culture and politics of the Chinese-speaking world deserved to be understood on a deeper level than is often the case in our current discourse, which focuses heavily on news cycles, trends, or the agenda of politicians in power. I also wanted to create a space that is not beholden to either political or business organizations.
